Collection June 2021 – Backyard Treasures
Today, I am happy to present you my new vector pattern collection “Backyard Treasures”
Backyard Treasures is inspired by my daily contact with nature in our yard during a year of lockdown.
The evergreens were whispering hope.
The flowers were smiling no matter what the news were.
Our furry buddies – bunnies and squirrels – never stopped meeting us.
In the wheel of an year, nature brought memories and dreams from the past…
Those inspired me and I decided to dedicate this collection to the old lady who planted the first trees, took care of the first flowers there and transformed this tiny piece of land into a little paradise, a world of happiness, serenity, sweet dreams and healing vibes.
That’s how those new designs came to life.
Three Colour Ways
Three colour palettes bring variety to the collection in three different moods.
“Bright memories” is a bright happy colour palette, full of joy and enthousiasme, such as nature’s happy burst of energy in spring and in summer.
“Dreamy” is a soft, peaceful colour palette, like an inner vision, a restful winter dream for brighter days.
“Autumn Breeze” brings autumn colours and vintage mood.
Three Hero Patterns
In “Backyard Treasures” the “heroes” are a trio:
“Backyard Bouquet” is composed with cultivated and wild flowers, branches and gathered grasses from the yard.
“Backyard Buddies” is a pattern featuring our furry and winged friends: bunnies, squirrels and blue jays, which got so accustomed to see us in our yard that reduced the social distancing, allowed us to get a little closer and stopped running away at our slightest movement.
The stars of “Happy Bloom” are the echinacea flowers which touched my heart with their tireless smiles all over the day.
Coordinate and Blender Patterns
Whimsy puzzles with autumn leaves, Cedar’s Paths and Blue Jays tickled my imagination and brought to life the coordinate patterns of the collection.
Then, almost every little grass, herb and leaf applied as a blender. How difficult the choice in front of a treasure house! Wondering, I realized how much love makes a single leaf or a tiny stalk of grass…
Then, I weaved into my patterns some of this great LOVE… as much as I could.
